External Repair and Redecoration, and Resurfacing of the Roof

Client:  Coolwaters Ltd
Property:  Clanricarde Gardens, Notting Hill

Project summary:  We were asked to attend the property to compile a Specification of Works for the external repair and redecoration of the front and rear elevations, and for the resurfacing of the main roof and rear addition roof coverings.  The specification was produced, competitive tenders were obtained and a tender analysis report issued to the client.  Once the client confirmed that the funds were in place to proceed with the works, we acted as the Contract Administrator and the Principal Designer, in compliance with the Construction (Design and Management) Regulations 2015.  Our surveyors attended the site regularly to carry out inspections as the work progressed and also issued the required payment certificates in accordance with the contract document.  We ensured the client was always kept up to date, especially as the COVID-19 pandemic occurred part way through the project.  Having been made aware of water ingress issues prior to the works commencing, we investigated these further and managed works to resolve them.  

Date:  The project commenced mid February 2020.

Outcome:  Upon completion of the works, the client was provided with an insurance backed guarantee for the roofing element of the project, as the Specification of Works had stipulated a specific roofing system.
